NAIROBI

A city that never seems to sleep, Nairobi has become one of Africa’s largest, and most interesting cities. The modern Nairobi is still the safari capital of the Africa. The city has not lost its sense of the past, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa open to visitors. From the wildlife to the nightlife, Nairobi is a city unlike any other. With a fantastic music scene, excellent international restaurants and an endless and colourful array of shops and markets, there is plenty on offer for the visitor. This is not just a modern capital separated from the great wilderness that surrounds it and just outside the city is Nairobi National Park, 113 sq kms of plains, cliffs and forest.

LAIKIPIA

Wild and sparsely populated, much of Laikipia is covered by large privately owned ranches which supports seven heavily protected rhino sanctuaries, which together hold over half of Kenya’s black rhino population. On most ranches cattle share the land with free ranging wildlife. The private game reserves offer exclusive nature and wildlife experiences far away from the beaten path and in diverse scenery - from the edge of the Great Rift Valley, to the peaks of snow-capped Mount Kenya, with vast plains and verdant grasslands, interspersed with rocky hills, rivers, and waterholes.

Laikipia is home to more endangered wildlife than anywhere else in East Africa, protecting half of Kenya’s black rhino, and guests can enjoy particularly diverse safari experiences, with game drives, bush walks, horse riding and multi-day walking & camel trekking safaris.

The diversity of mammals is higher than any other area with elephant, rhino, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Lelwel hartebeest, wild dog and large numbers of other large predators. Some of the activities include: Wildlife related activities (day and night), walking, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, mountain biking, camel and horse riding and fly camping. Guests can enjoy activity holidays or simply retreat from the world.

MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

The Masai Mara is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The Game Reserve fulfills the dreams of any visitor searching for an amazing safari experience. The African landscapes, endless seas of golden grass dotted with picturesque acacia trees, are home to cheetah, leopard, large prides of lions, elephants, giraffe, hippos and many other species.

Wildlife viewing in the Mara is fantastic all year round, and, from August to October it is the site of one of the most spectacular wildlife experiences on earth - the annual migration of close to two million wildebeests and zebras, crossings the crocodile-infested Mara river. While you will see most animals on game drives, the conservation areas surrounding the Masai Mara also offer the opportunity for beautiful bush walks and visits to a local Maasai village.
